Motörhead: European Tour Postponed

UPDATE Nov 5: The band's recently cancelled European live dates have been rescheduled!
Lemmy has released the following statement:

"I have to sadly let you know that Motörhead has had to postpone the forthcoming European tour until early next year, 2014.

"We have made the decision because I am not quite ready to hit the road yet, and am working my way back to full fitness and rude health. Don't worry - I'm not about to start promoting veganism and alcohol-free beverages, but it is fair to say that I personally have been reconfiguring areas of my life to make sure I can come back fitter and stronger than ever.

"It disappointed me tremendously to have to say I wasn't quite ready to hit the road yet, but not nearly as much as it would've disappointed me to go out, play some average shows and watch my health give way long before the tour was over! When people come to see a Motörhead tour, they expect a
Motörhead  how, and that is exactly what you will get as soon as I am fit and ready to rumble.

"Your patience and understanding is appreciated...and know that I'm getting stronger and stronger every day, so watch out next spring Europe and we will see you then.

"Thank you all."

The tour is scheduled to restart in February. Fans, keep your tickets and check back with imotorhead.com for further details in the coming weeks.

Rory Gallagher: Irish Tour`74 - Full Concert

Rory Gallagher's 1974 tour of Ireland coincided with one of the most tumultuous times in Belfast. Violence from IRA-terrorists was erupting throughout the city even at rock concerts. As a result, most rock acts refused to play in the city.

The day before Gallagher's scheduled concert in Belfast ten bombs went off at various locations around the city. Everyone expected Gallagher to cancel as all the other big names had but he went on with the concert and was rewarded with one of his best shows.

A local Belfast journalist writing to describe the concert and the feeling of staying strong in the face of terrorism said "I've never seen anything quite so wonderful, so stirring, so uplifting, so joyous as when Gallagher and the band walked on stage. The whole place erupted, they all stood and they cheered and they yelled, and screamed, and they put their arms up, and they embraced. Then as one unit they put their arms into the air and gave peace signs. Without being silly, or overemotional, it was one of the most memorable moments of my life. It all meant something, it meant more than just rock n' roll, it was something bigger, something more valid than just that."

Boston: "Life, Love & Hope"; Cover Art, Track Listing Revealed; Song-By-Song Comments By Tom Scholz

More than 10 years in the making, Boston's new studio album, "Life, Love & Hope" is ready for release. Finally emerging from his Hideaway Studio II, Tom Scholz says, "These are songs from the heart, each of them taking many months of effort to write, arrange, perform and record, always up to the demands of Boston's harshest critic, me. They have all been meticulously recorded to analogue tape on the same machines and equipment used for Boston's hits for the past 35 years."

Available on December 3 on Frontiers Records, this album includes lead vocals from Brad Delp, Tommy DeCarlo, Kimberley Dahme, David Victor and Tom Scholz, and features tracks with the classic
Boston sound, as well as the latest in the evolution of Scholz' musical artistry. "I intentionally stayed close to the early Boston style on some of the songs, even using the same amps and instruments; on others I let my imagination run wild," says Tom.

All the tracks have the characteristic
Boston trademark guitars, harmonies, and immaculately crafted sound. Tom worked very hard to fulfill the expectations of Boston fans new and old, and has created a diverse yet cohesive album that truly has something for everyone.

Track Listing:

1. Heaven on Earth
2. Didn't Mean to Fall in Love (remastered version from Corporate America)
3. Last Day of School (Instrumental)
4. Sail Away
5. Life Love and Hope
6. If You Were in Love
7. Someday
8. Love Got Away
9. Someone (2.0)(rerecorded/rearrangement)
10. You Gave Up on Love (2.0)(rerecorded/rearrangement)
11. The Way You Look Tonight.

Boston: "Life, Love & Hope"; New Studio Album Coming December 3

On December 3, Frontiers Records will release the 6th Boston studio album, "Life, Love & Hope". Boston really hasn’t disappointed too many fans with their small catalog from their long, long legacy.

Since those powerful earlier releases, Boston lost Brad Delp to suicide in 2007. With such a compelling loss, one would think that Boston would close their doors and cruise no longer. But one would be wrong.

"After completing this mix I only need to redo vocals on a couple of the cuts, remix them, and sequence them and master the album. After working on this project for over 10 years I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel", says Tom Scholz in a news update on the official site.
